Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains the cookies and similar technologies Localz Only uses and the choices you have. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We also use related browser storage. We group these into strictly necessary (required for the site to work), functional (remember choices like a referral), and analytics (help us understand usage).
Cookies we use
| Name | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Supabase auth | Keeps you signed in and secures your session. | Strictly necessary | Session / token lifetime |
| lo_ref | Remembers a referral code so a referral can be attributed. | Functional (first-party) | 30 days |
| PostHog | Product analytics, including session replay and event capture. Not active until enabled. | Analytics | Up to 1 year |
| Google Analytics 4 | Aggregate traffic and usage measurement. Not active until enabled. | Analytics | Up to 2 years |
Note: your in-progress questionnaire answers are saved only in your browser's temporary session storage (not a cookie) so a refresh doesn't lose your place; they clear when you close the tab.
Analytics and your consent
You control analytics cookies through our cookie banner. We tailor the choice to where you are:
- EU, UK, EEA, and California visitors: analytics stay off until you choose “Accept.” Nothing is set unless you opt in.
- Everywhere else: analytics are on by default to help us improve the Service, and you can choose “Decline” at any time to opt out.
You can change or withdraw your choice whenever you like using the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer. Note: our analytics providers only begin collecting data once we have configured and enabled them; until then the banner sets no analytics cookies regardless of your choice.
How to control cookies
Beyond our banner, you can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, and most browsers let you refuse non-essential cookies. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may break parts of the Service (for example, staying signed in). You can also use your browser's “Do Not Track” or global privacy control signals, which we honor where legally required.
